The Maryland State Fair is a big public event with lots of natural gathering places, and it’s the summer of 2016. So naturally, Pokemon Go is involved.
The fair has declared Sunday, August 28, as Pokemon Go Day at the fair. Spokeswoman Becky Brashear said organizers noticed players scouring the Timonium fairgrounds for potential Pokemon to catch, so they decided to become an official site.
On Sunday, five different Pokemon locations will be open for battle. Plus, lures are being released at a pair Pokestops. There will also be a potential for prizes for those who catch ’em all (or, the most) like day passes and ride vouchers.
Here’s a rundown of more new stuff at the fair this year.
