Mexican folkdance group Bailes de Mi Tierra to perform
In honor of Hispanic Heritage Month, Port Discovery Children’s Museum will host its annual Hispanic Heritage Celebration this Saturday, October 15th. The event showcases Hispanic culture through special crafts and a featured performance by the Mexican folkdance group Bailes de Mi Tierra. Please see below for the complete event schedule. Join Port Discovery artists to make colorful maracas to keep as your own souvenirs!
|Make Your Own Dia de los Muertos Skulls
10 a.m. – 12 p.m. | 1 p.m. – 3 p.m.
Children can celebrate the “Day of the Dead” by decorating skulls.
|Bailes de Mi Tierra Performance
The highlight of Port Discovery’s Hispanic Heritage Celebration, the spectacular Mexican folkdance troupe Bailes de Mi Tierra is sure to enrapture with their electrifying moves and rhythms and dazzle with their colorful costumes. Children and adults alike will want to join in the fun and dance along, too!
