Port Discovery Hosts “Hops & Vines” Fundraiser, November 19th
Guests experience the grown-up fun of sampling local restaurants, breweries and vineyards
while re-living childhood memories and exploring the Museum
Port Discovery will host the “Hops & Vines” fundraiser on Saturday, November 19, 2016 from 7:30-11 p.m. at the Museum. Guests are invited to enjoy the grown-up fun of sampling local restaurants and drinking beer and wine provided by the region’s best breweries and vineyards, and relive childhood memories while exploring the Museum. Tickets are $50 in advance or $75 at the door. Tickets can be purchased at http://portdiscovery.givezooks.com/events/hops-vines-2.
All proceeds benefit Port Discovery’s access programs, which provide free or reduced admission for families and schools in economically challenged communities, children with special needs and military families. The event is presented by the Port Discovery Children’s Museum Explorers Council, which is an auxiliary board that serves to further the mission of Port Discovery Children’s Museum by engaging the next generation of patrons and volunteers to promote awareness of the Museum’s service and impact in the greater Maryland area.
“Port Discovery is more than just a fun place for kids to visit,” says Explorer’s Council Chair Elizabeth Greenblatt. “It offers hands-on, educational and engaging programs for children of all backgrounds. It’s a place for them to experience the joy of play while stimulating their minds and enriching their lives. I hope that many will attend this event and experience some of the best breweries and vineyards in Maryland, all while supporting Port Discovery’s worthy programs!”
