Courtesy of Citybizlist – Finally, a national article about Baltimore focused on something other than The Wire, the government hocking buildings, or Maryland losing business to Virginia. The Huffington Post actually tells readers it should visit Charm City.
In “9 Reasons To Visit Baltimore This Spring (Or Anytime),” George Hobika cites Fells Point, Hampden, the American Visionary Arts Museum, and even the Belvedere Market, as reasons for visiting Baltimore.
“One of the great charms of Baltimore is its lack of interest in running with the herd. Possessing a unique look and an entertainingly odd culture, it moves at a slow and steady pace, entirely out of step with the rest of the bustling Northeast megalopolis.
Here, you are just an hour or so north of the high-end zip codes of Washington, DC; Manhattan is barely 200 miles in the other direction. Sometimes, though, it feels as if the only commonality between these places and Baltimore is the occasional Acela train whizzing through.”
