This Saturday, she is opening herself up for examination. Check out the debris pulled from the Harris Creek outfall in the Canton neighborhood. Analyzing this data helps bolster local environmental advocacy efforts and make legislative change a reality. Such analysis helped bring the plastic bag bans and polystyrene foam bans to fruition. In 2025, this information will be used to advocate for a statewide bottle deposit bill.
An afterparty will be held at Wico Street Beer Co. for all participants but be careful not to get trashed.
Baltimoreโs Trash Wheel family includes four trash wheels: Mr. Trash Wheel, Professor Trash Wheel, Captain Trash Wheel and Gwynnda the Good Wheel of the West. Last year, the Trash Wheel family collected over 1 million pounds of litter and debris from the Baltimore harbor.
Professor Trash Wheel joined the family on Dec. 4, 2016. The professor likes women in science, Thomas Dolby, Beyoncรฉ OF COURSE, and sea otters among other things. Things that the professor would like to see disposed of include low tides and the patriarchy.
