Football season is almost here, meaning the other sports in Baltimore are probably going to be overwhelmed by the “caw.” As the Ravens begin their preseason games against the Panthers on Thursday night at M&T Bank Stadium, the team is showing how to make room for more sports alongside the NFL.
You bring those other sports into the football stadium.
Baltimore is watching intently as native son Michael Phelps goes for his fourth gold medal of the Rio Olympics in the 200 Individual Medley. The storylines are rich as he is facing longtime rival/teammate Ryan Lochte, and could finally dethrone Leonidas of Rhodes’ 2,168-year-old record for all-time gold medal haul by a single athlete. In other words, Ravens fans won’t want to miss it.
The Ravens happen to have a giant TV, so they decided to show Phelps’ race during the game. The Ravens report this also happened in 2008, so it should go off without a hitch.

The way these Olympics are going, you may even be able to hear NBC commentator Rowdy Gaines over the crowd.
