Some offseason getaway. Terrance West’s stay in a Miami hotel was marred by two robberies in an hour over the winter.
According to a copy of a lawsuit obtained by Deadspin, the Baltimore Ravens running back says he was robbed twice in one day during a February stay at the Metropole South Beach Hotel. In one incident, two women that West met earlier convinced an employee to make a copy of West’s key, and took two Rolex watches. Then, an hour later, a man knocked on the door, forced his way into the room and took Louboutin shoes and cash.
West is now suing the Metropole South Beach Hotel for more than $50,000 in damages, claiming the hotel employee were negligent. Perhaps the lawsuit will also unearth whether West was targeted, or a victim of bad luck.
