Daytime aficionados may have to turn off the TV to go to Horseshoe Casino, but they wonโ€™t have to miss the game shows completely. Starting next week, the casino is going to host a weekly game show at the casino called People Are Winning. And Richard Sher will host.

The 45-minute game show will consist of three contestants answering trivia questions. If the contestants get the question wrong, someone from the audience gets a chance to answer. Fitting with the casinoโ€™s goal to get people in the door and never let them go, the prizes include free plays at the casino and free meals at their restaurants. To become a contestant, casino-goers must be registered as a member of the casinoโ€™s Total Rewards program, which awards people for being loyal casino patrons.

Emceeing is Richard Sher, who earned his keep around Baltimore as Oprahโ€™s co-host on People are Talking, and now hosts Square Off on WMAR.

The first People Are Winning is April 8 at 1 p.m. in the center of the casino in the 14Forty Bar.

Stephen Babcock is the editor of Technical.ly Baltimore and an editor-at-large of Baltimore Fishbowl.
