A robber broke into Peabody Heights Brewery in Abell early this morning and made off with iPad registers, a laptop and petty cash, the brewery posted on Facebook.
The thief smashed a safe to get the cash and broke the windows on a company van to take a GPS unit, the brewery said.
A Baltimore police spokesperson said officers were called to the brewery at 6:21 a.m. and filed a burglary report.
“All in all everyone is safe,” the brewery wrote. “We will still be open tonight but we would greatly appreciate you stopping by for a beer in support.”
While asking neighbors and patrons to keep an eye out for the stolen items, the brewery made sure to tell supporters who is not at fault.
“Please don’t make this about Baltimore or race,” the post said. “This could happen anywhere.”
