Who doesn’t love a free concert on a Friday night? Starting May 10, “Rotunda Rocks” returns to the Rotunda Shopping Center for the second year of the summer-long free Friday-night concert series.
The concerts will run every Friday from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m., and all ages are welcome as are pets. All proceeds from adult beverage sales will benefit the Maryland SPCA located in Hampden, as is the Rotunda.
The concert on May 10 features Strykers Posse, an all-female Reggae band making music in the male-dominated business since 1985. They were voted Baltimore City’s 2000 Best Reggae Band and received the 2000 Dennis Brown Award at the Washington DC Reggae Music Awards.
Other bands include Harlan County Kings on May 24 (original rock), Monkton Road Band on June 14 (rootsy folk/deep country), Justin Trawick and The Common Good on July 12 (bluegrass, country, and folk), and many more.
In addition to the live music, there will be local vendors, games and activities for all to enjoy, food and drink vendors, and the local restaurants and shops open for browsing, shopping, and dining. Parking is available for free for four hours in the Rotunda Parking Garage.
Rotunda Rocks takes place every Friday from May through September 27, on the Plaza at the Rotunda, located at 711 W. 40th St. in Baltimore.
