It’s open season for jobs at Sagamore Pendry Baltimore, the new 128-room luxury hotel built on the old Rec Pier building in Fells Point. Sagamore Development is holding two hiring events this week to fill out the hotel’s staff ahead of its planned February opening.
The job fairs are scheduled for tomorrow (Thursday, Dec. 1) from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Saturday, Dec. 3, from 12-6 p.m. Both will take place at The Foundery maker space in Port Covington, located at 101 W. Dickman Street. According to Pendry Hotels’ website, they’re hiring for all positions, including culinary, engineering, housekeeping and guest services.
Jobseekers are advised to submit their applications online beforehand and bring a copy of their resume to either event. According to the Baltimore Business Journal, the company is looking to fill 180 positions.
The nearly completed building is a sight to see. After nearly two years of construction, Sagamore has transformed the view of central Fells Point by replacing the long-unused space of the former Rec Pier building. According to Pendry’s website, it houses an outdoor pool overlooking the harbor, a restaurant and bar, a 24-hour gym, a wellness center and an events space to go with its luxury suites.
