It was nine months ago that we learned the folks behind Salt of Butchers Hill had bought 1157 Haubert Street in Locust Point. (The address had previously hosted The House and Down the Hatch.) At the time, we were told the new eatery would be “some sort of bar that sells food.”
That certainly didn’t put too fine a point on it. So kudos to the City Paper for teasing out a little more information.
Salt chef/owner Jason Ambrose recently told CP that the Locust Point would boast a menu of mostly small plates. He also promised it would be cheaper than Salt and more bar than restaurant.
And if he has his way, it’ll be up and running in the fall.
