Being mayor comes with a few perks. Stephanie Rawlings-Blake will add the old Razzle Dazzle to her beneifts next week. The Baltimore mayor will appear in the musical Chicago, as the production debuts at the Hippodrome Theater.
According to Playbill, SRB will appear for “one night only” on April 4, and she’ll appear at various times throughout the production. No word yet what part she’ll play, or if the role was written just for her.
This is the first time a mayor has appeared in Chicago, which was a massive Broadway hit and is currently touring the country.
“I want to reassure the cast and crew that I am already hard at work rehearsing my lines,” Rawlings-Blake said in a statement.
