A bit of sad news struck before Christmas in Baltimore, when a puppy that was a present was stolen from a Roland Park home. But like many who went astray have done before, Peggy made it home for Christmas.
News of the robbery at the Powell familyโs home led to an outpouring from around the city. The three-month-old canine was an early present for the coupleโs five-year-old daughter. As the holidays approached, it seemed like she would be lost to the real-life Grinch. But just before the holiday weekend, the family got a welcome delivery.

Around 9:15 p.m. on Dec. 23, Ann Powell told Fox Baltimore that they heard a noise at their front door. When they looked out, they found the pup tied to a tree with its leash. Making it extra sweet, Peggy was returned on the little girlโs birthday.
