The Stoop is one of Baltimore’s favorite spots to hear relatable and often hilarious stories culled from the everyday life moments we all experience. At the series’ next event, the idea is to keep all of that intact, except with mayoral candidates.
A little more than a week before the primary, The Stoop is set to host a special mayoral edition in the shadow of City Hall at the War Memorial. The event is set for April 13, and it’s free.
After gathering at neighborhood forums and squaring off at debates, the candidates vying for mayor have been told to leave the campaign rhetoric and attacks at the door. Instead, they’ll get personal about their first jobs.
An hour before the 7 p.m. show, The Gathering is organizing, food trucks, The Charmery is bringing ice cream from The Charmery, and Union is bringing beer. Plus, there will be music. If you can’t make it, the Stoop is planning public radio rebroadcasts of the show in the near future.
