Holiday decorations are designed to dazzle. But recently in Edgemere, thieves violated the “just look, don’t touch” rule that’s designed to help all of us enjoy them.
According to WBAL-TV, robbers stole Christmas lights and decorations from three houses in the same block of the eastern Baltimore County town. One of the neighbors caught an incident on video, which shows the light grab in action. A getaway car is also involved.
Neighbors aren’t happy with the effect it’s having on children. One man’s dejected son said he would just decorate the backyard instead of the front.
Police are investigating the case. But this being the holiday season, the neighbors don’t want anyone to go to jail. “I just want an apology,” one said. Providing a little help redecorating also seems like justifiable punishment.
