STRUT fashion show has Baltimore’s youth on the runway

Tickets are now on sale for STRUT, Baltimore biggest youth-driven fashion and performance showcase.

The fashion event will take place on Saturday, March 15, 2025, from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. at the Baltimore Convention Center.

STRUT is the capstone event of AZIZA PE&CE’s Illuminate after-school program. STRUT amplifies marginalized voices and fosters confidence in youth as they step into their power. AZIZA PEA&CE predicts this year’s STRUT will bring together 2,000 attendees, including young people, their families, community leaders, local businesses, and artists to cheer on the talent and creativity of Illuminate’s artists.

AZIZA PE&CE is a nonprofit whose mission is to empower Baltimore’s Black and Hispanic youth through creative expression, mentorship, and holistic well-being. The organization creates a safe space for young people to heal, learn, and take chances. By incorporating art, mental health practices, and social justice into their programs, AZIZA PE&CE speaks to many facets of a developing adult’s well-being and place in their community.

STRUT XII is the culmination of these youths’ work designing and creating fashion, “where self-expression fuels empowerment, and where social justice is woven into every step down the runway,” reads a press release about the event.

This year’s theme is “I’m On A New Level” with Baltimore’s youth taking the stage as models, artists, and changemakers. The event will be hosted by TEN Gray and music provided by DJ Droopy.

“Through the lens of fashion and performance, STRUT XII highlights the resilience, cultural pride, and brilliance of Black girls and LGBTQ+ youth,” reads the website.
