Looking for an opportunity for your middle school student to build leadership skills this summer? Summer at St. Paul’s offers a robust Counselor in Training (CIT) Program, designed for rising 7th to 9th grade students interested in gaining hands on experience working with younger campers and building confidence as mentors and role models. Each CIT week focuses on a specific skill area and combines interactive workshops with experiential, hands-on practice supporting youth programs across campus.
Each week stands alone, allowing families to choose as many or as few weeks as their summer schedule allows. CITs will demonstrate their learning through supervised leadership roles, guided reflection, and active participation in camp environments.

Participants who complete volunteer service hours through the CIT program may be eligible for the Presidential Volunteer Service Award and the Mayor’s Volunteer Service Award. Hours are tracked weekly and earned through meaningful, hands-on service supporting younger campers and camp operations, reinforcing leadership, responsibility, and community engagement.
