Summer at Friends offers a variety of educational and recreational day camps for boys and girls ages 4 through 13. Led by energetic and enthusiastic staff who love working with kids, campers form friendships and discover the joy of learning new skills in a safe, supportive environment.
We have been the camp for Baltimore children for more than 55 years. Our popular camps fill quickly, and for good reason! All of our full-day camps feature daily swimming and include lunch, beverage and snack. Traditional day camps offer the benefit of flexible weekly scheduling and parents who work outside of the home appreciate our Extended Day packages that combine Camp and Extended Day for one low fee. Our convenient location provides facilities specifically designed for camper-aged children.
This year, we’ve added new offerings to our Sports Camps and have developed the all-new Senior Experience, an exciting revision of our program for campers ages 10-13. For children interested in technology, we offer sessions in photography, video, Claymation, and more, as well as our ever-popular Robots & Rockets! We also offer drama and creative camp options, including Jr. MakersCamp, a younger version of our popular MakersCamp. For our teenaged campers, we are offering five sessions of Babysitter training and our annual Counselor-in-Training (CIT) program.
In addition, we will have a brand-new All-Star week from August 7-11. This special week will feature all of the best activities from the summer plus new and exciting surprises! Spaces are limited – register early!
Our programs are certified by the State of Maryland for compliance with Youth Camp Safety Regulations. A Registered Nurse is on campus during camp hours, and daily swimming instruction and recreational swim are led by certified Water Safety Instructors and lifeguards. Our team of experienced teachers and counselors guides children through a busy day that includes plenty of water breaks, sunscreen checks and camp spirit!
In accordance with the Quaker philosophy of Friends School, our program strives to instill feelings of self-worth and confidence in every camper and to encourage respect, cooperation and consideration of others. We celebrate diversity and believe in the unique worth of each individual. All programs are open to non-Friends School students.
Please join us on Saturday, April 1, at 1 pm in the Friends School Gymnasium for an information session and tour of our beautiful campus and facilities. Enroll by April 1, 2017, and receive a $50 registration discount!* Come see what summer fun looks like! Click for details.
*Minimum two-week enrollment required.
