“Survivor” fans will be glued to their television screens Wednesday night, as the competition show rings in its 50th season with a three-hour premiere.

Bars and restaurants around Baltimore are joining the fun with watch parties of their own, where customers can celebrate the historic season among fans who love the show as much as they do.

The premiere will air at 8 p.m. Eastern Time on CBS and Paramount+, but some local festivities will kick off earlier.

Power Plant Live!

One of the biggest events of the evening will be a watch party with former “Survivor” contestants Ozzy Lusth and Gabe Ortis at Luckie’s Tavern at Power Plant Live! The party will run from 6 p.m. to 12 a.m. and will take place at 34 Market Place in downtown Baltimore.

"Challenge beast" Ozzy Lusth is among the cast of the 50th season of "Survivor." Lusth originally competed on “Survivor: Cook Islands" (Season 13) and later returned for “Survivor: Micronesia – Fans vs. Favorites” (Season 16), “Survivor: South Pacific” (Season 23), and “Survivor: Game Changers — Mamanuca Islands” (Season 34). Although Early Bird, Regular General Admission & VIP passes are already sold out, fans can still snag last-minute tickets for general admission access.

Lusth originally competed on “Survivor: Cook Islands,” the show’s 13th season. He returned for “Survivor: Micronesia – Fans vs. Favorites” (Season 16), “Survivor: South Pacific” (Season 23), “Survivor: Game Changers — Mamanuca Islands” (Season 34), and is among the cast of “Survivor 50: In the Hands of the Fans.”

He earned a reputation as a “challenge beast,” tying the record for the most individual immunity challenge wins in a single season (with 5 individual immunity wins in “Cook Islands”) and collecting 16 immunity wins overall across his four seasons so far.

Ortis, a Baltimore public radio host on WYPR, competed on the show’s 47th season, where he charmed tribemates and fans alike, and even performed former Baltimore Ravens linebacker Ray Lewis’s touchdown dance after a challenge victory.

Although he won’t be returning for “Survivor 50,” Ortis’s former Season 47 castmate Genevieve Mushaluk will be.

The event is presented by fellow “Survivor” alumni Brice Izyah, who competed on “Survivor: Cagayan, the show’s 28th season; and Wendell Holland, who competed on and won “Survivor: Ghost Island,” the show’s 36th season. Holland returned to compete on the 40th season, “Survivor: Winners at War.”

Southern Provisions

Southern Provisions, or So Pro, will join the fun with its own watch party starting at 8 p.m.

Located at 3000 O’Donnell St. in Canton, the restaurant specializing in Southern food will be serving a themed drink for the “Survivor” premiere.

Attendees can reserve a spot for free here.

M8 Beer

M8 Beer, the South Baltimore brewery “with an Aussie twist,” will host a watch party where guests can view the premiere on an 80-inch projector screen with sound.

There will be “Survivor”-themed cocktails, contests, games, giveaways, hidden idols, and more.

Watch parties will be held throughout the “Survivor” season on Wednesdays at 8 p.m. starting Feb. 25.

The brewery is located at 1399 Sharp St. in Baltimore.

Hollywood Casino Perryville

A bit of a hike for folks in the Baltimore area, but Hollywood Casino Perryville in Cecil County will host a “Survivor” watch party where customers can view the premiere on the big screens.

The casino is located at 1201 Chesapeake Overlook Parkway in Perryville. Guests must be age 21 or older.

To get fans into the island mood, the casino will be serving coconut shrimp, huli-huli chicken, and a Polynesian pulled pork sandwich, as well as tropical drinks like their Castaway Cooler and Tiki Tickler.

There will also be crab drip, catfish, BBQ burgers, flatbreads, wings, craft beers, cocktails, wine, and hard seltzers.

Attendees can enter a drawing to win “Survivor” swag, dining credits, or a gift card.

Jimmy’s Famous Seafood

Jimmy’s Famous Seafood won’t be having a watch party for the “Survivor 50” premiere. However, they will be hosting another event in April that you will want to mark down on your calendar.

On April 8, the restaurant in Southeast Baltimore’s Broening Manor neighborhood will host a viewing party featuring “Survivor” alumni Jonny Fairplay, Richard Hatch, and Gabe Ortis.

Hatch is the original Sole Survivor, winning the show’s first season (“Survivor: Borneo”) in 2000. He was known for going nude around camp, which entertained some tribemates and frustrated others. While many of his fellow contestants treated the show as a vacation among friends, Hatch went on the offensive by forming alliances and strategizing to oust his competitors (long before it was in style for “Survivor” gameplay). He returned for “Survivor: All-Stars,” the show’s eighth season.

Jon Dalton, known on the show as Jonny Fairplay, first competed on the show’s seventh season, “Survivor: Pearl Islands,” where he famously spun a lie that his grandmother had died in order to gain sympathy and give him an advantage in the game. (Grandma Fairplay was, in fact, alive and well, “sitting home watching Jerry Springer,” until her actual death in 2025.)

Fairplay later returned to compete on “Survivor: Micronesia,” the show’s 16th season. His antics gained him a reputation as a “Survivor” villain, and even drew the ire of host Jeff Probst.

The watch party at Jimmy’s Famous Seafood will feature additional guests, including Tai Lowry from Destination X and more. “Additional castaways tentatively scheduled to appear,” according to the event page.

The $75 VIP tickets include meet and greet, preferred seating, and a personalized autographed 8.5×11 Richard Hatch and Jonny Fairplay poster. General admission costs $25.

A Maryland connection

Maryland fans tuning into “Survivor 50” might choose to root for contestant Emily Flippen. Though originally from McKinney, Texas, the investment analyst-turned-“Survivor” competitor currently lives in Laurel, Maryland.

Flippen first competed on the show’s 45th season, where she narrowly avoided being the first contestant voted out when one of her tribe mates quit the game. After that development, Flippen switched up her gameplay, made inroads with key alliances, and ultimately finished in 7th place.

A well-played immunity idol by one of her competitors caused Flippen to be eliminated by a single vote.

Flippen made an appearance last week at Baltimore’s Bromo Seltzer Arts Tower, the site of Maryland’s hidden immunity idol for the “Survivor 50 Challenge.” As part of the challenge, 50 immunity idols were hidden across the United States, with one in each state. Fans who found one and submitted a picture could enter for a chance to win a trip for two to the live Survivor 50 season finale in Los Angeles on May 20.
