Four passengers were removed from a Spirit Airlines flight leaving BWI this morning out of what Spirit is calling “an abundance of caution” after another passenger reported “suspicious activity.”

The three women and one man who were removed from the flight “appeared to be in early 30s and of middle eastern descent,” ABC7’s Suzanne Kennedy tweeted.

Everyone is obviously on edge after the horrific attacks in Paris and Beirut. But let’s also remember that people have been deemed suspicious and kicked off planes for wearing t-shirts with Arabic writing and wearing Sikh turbans.

Earlier this month, Spirit found itself at the center of a controversy when seven passengers were kicked off a flight for what they say were racially motivated reasons.
