Local drum duo A1 Chops among acts added to AFRAM Festival

A1 Chops, the local duo who went viral with their videos combining ridiculous polyrhythmic drumming and synchronized dancing, have been added to the lineup for this year’s AFRAM Festival.

R&B singer Kiana Ledé and a slate of Bad Boy Records artists–Quincy Brown, Niko Brim, Christian “King” Combs and Justin Combs–are also joining the bill.

Baltimore’s AFRAM Festival, a celebration of the city’s African-American culture, art and life now going on 42 years, will feature “Boo’d Up” singer Ella Mai, local legends Dru Hill, Atlanta R&B crooner Jacquees and gospel singer VaShawn Mitchell, the city announced today. And it will be two days, rather than one, as first reported by The Sun on Friday.
