New Injured Athletes Club Created by Eighth Grade Students at Calvert School


Eighth Graders, Angelo (A.J.) C. and Will V., spearheaded a new student club this past November focused on athletics. A.J.’s recent injury inspired the idea for this club. A.J. broke his kneecap in a mid-season football game against Loyola Blakefield and was distraught that he would be missing the final few football games of his Calvert career. After speaking with some teachers about his initial idea, he decided to start the Injured Athletes Club with Will V.

Calvert School Mighty Bees Bring Home a Win at U.S. Squash Middle School Championships!

For the tenth time, Calvert’s squash team made the trip to Yale University in New Haven, Connecticut to compete at the U.S. Squash Championships.

Calvert School Diversity Club Gives to Marion House

At the beginning of May, Calvert’s Middle School Diversity Club organized a bake sale to benefit Marian House, a non-profit organization whose mission is to help rehabilitate women who are working towards a better life and are in need of their services. Marian House provides housing and support services to women and their children in the Baltimore area. Profits from the bake sale were used to create Mother’s Day baskets for participants of Marian House.

Oliver was the youngest recipient of the 2016 Outstanding Youth Fundraiser Award Winners.

During National Philanthropy Day in Maryland, a program of the Association of Fundraising Professionals, Maryland Chapter, Calvert School student Oliver Clark ’20 was recognized as an Outstanding Youth Fundraiser.
