On Sunday afternoon, Baltimore police shot a man who refused to stop when police tried to pull his car over, the Baltimore Sun reports. Such a thing happens regularly enough –though there aren’t official stats for police-involved shootings, an amateur researcher counted 15 in 2011–that usually this would hardly count as news. But as the Sun’s Yvonne Wenger pointed out, this shooting happened right in front of a giant mural memorializing Trayvon Martin.
