Ravens QB Joe Flacco could’ve played in his first Pro-Bowl this Sunday. But the Ravens turned down an offer to play in the game this Sunday. According to the team, Flacco and his wife Dana are awaiting the birth of their third child. In fact, Dana is due today, reports ESPN.
It’s good to see that the QB is prioritizing Team Flacco. But, let’s face it, the Pro Bowl is a meaningless game. Even nicest-football-player-of-all-time Peyton Manning bailed this year. Big Ben is also skipping out, so there won’t be any upstaging by the Steelers.
And even without Flacco, the Ravens will still well-represented. The team’s coaching staff was picked to lead one of the All-Pro squads.
