Madisan Leigh Campbell returned home Monday night, ending a search that Harford County authorities initiated exactly a week earlier.
Campbell, 16, was found unharmed, and no foul play was suspected, the Harford County Sheriff’s Office reported. She was taken to the hospital for an evaluation, but only as a precaution.
Campbell was reported missing on Dec. 1 after disappearing from her Edgewood home around 11 p.m. Police said Monday that she could be in the company of older men, but did not elaborate on that after she was found.
Prompted by police departments across the metro area, posts about her disappearance went viral on local social media channels.
