The Baltimore County Public Library on Monday announced temporary closures at two library branches to allow for renovations.

The library system’s Pikesville branch will be closed on Aug. 27-28, Sept. 4-5, and Sept. 10-11 for HVAC replacement. Additional dates may be added if needed for weather or construction delays.

The book drop at the Pikesville branch will remain open during the closures.

Storyville at the Rosedale branch will be closed from Aug. 30 through Sept. 21 to allow for painting, new carpeting, and updated art.

The rest of the branch will remain open during the renovations. During the closure, families can visit the Storyville at the Woodlawn branch.

“Baltimore County Public Library is working to maintain the 21st century library standard to continue providing a safe and comfortable space for people to explore, learn, create and connect,” library officials said in a news release.
