The Charmery has been making big moves lately, opening a location in Towson and adding an ice cream factory in Union Collective. On Saturday, the shop will look back to the era of the Candy Crush fad and when โ€œGet Luckyโ€ by Daft Punk, Pharrell and Nile Rogers was the smash hit of the summer.

That would be the year 2013, when the Charmery first opened. Were โ€œGet Luckyโ€ and Candy Crush really that long ago?

To mark the occasion, the ice cream shop will be giving out free baby scoops with any purchase and featuring a special dipping cabinet filled with the flavors from that inaugural year.

For the first time ever, a Facebook event page says, the factory will offer โ€œa full sensory tour experienceโ€ on the hour, from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday.

And any intrepid Charmery fan who gets a scoop at all three locationsโ€“brain freeze be damnedโ€“can get a passport stamped and turn it in for a gift bag that includes even more ice cream that same day. Passports submitted by Aug. 13 will be entered in a drawing for other prizes.
