Baltimore Sun food columnist Richard Gorelick is reporting that new Hampden restaurant The Food Market will open today. The weekend opening will allow the new spot to attract the crowds attending Honfest, which opens tomorrow.
The restaurant is owned and operated by Chad Gauss who has worked at Mt. Vernon restaurant City Cafe, and Elan Kotz who worked at Little Italy restaurant Aldo’s.
Gauss described the 36th Street restaurant as having “blue-collar food in a white-collar execution.”
