“One of the most important books on race in recent memory.” ~ Readers + Writers Journal
Debby Irving, author of the memoir “Waking Up White,” will speak at Friends School of Baltimore on Friday, September 25th, from 7:30 to 9 pm. The event is free and open to the public.
In her book Irving shares her sometimes cringe-worthy struggle to understand racism and racial tensions, and she offers a fresh perspective on bias, stereotypes, manners and tolerance. For more information, visit the Friends School website at friendsbalt.org.
