A Federal Hill-based nonprofit called The Movement Team was recently hired by Baltimore City Public Schools to assist in the safe passage of students to and from four high schools, including Digital Harbor High School. The Movement Team provides four to six team members to help with intake and dismissal at Digital Harbor, as well as to help monitor students who may be engaging in disruptive behavior around the community.
The Movement Team’s staff can be seen outside the school and along Light St. and Cross. St. where many students travel to catch a bus or grab a bite to eat.
Other schools in the program are Mergenthaler Vocational-Technical High School (Mervo) in Northeast Baltimore, Patterson High School in Southeast Baltimore, and Paul Laurence Dunbar High School in East Baltimore.
