Nightly Show host Larry Wilmore spent about half of Tuesday night’s episode on Baltimore’s violent May, first with a desk bit called “Whattup Baltimore?” and then with a panel discussion.
In “Whattup Baltimore?” Wilmore made fun of Fox News’ “stereotypically racist” coverage of Baltimore’s spike in violence and reacted to clips from the conservative news channel of pundits excusing the alleged “coordinated police-work slowdown.”
Afterward a panel that consisted of comedian Godfrey, Ebony digital editor Jamilah Lemieux, and Morehouse professor and CNN commentator Marc Lamont Hill convened to give their opinions on the violence and the supposed slowdown.
