A full weekend of activities marked the reopening of Rash Field Park in Baltimore’s  Inner Harbor after years of construction, and Carl Schmidt of Federal Hill Photography LLC captured the action.

The nonprofit Waterfront Partnership is managing the park’s redevelopment, and has completed the 2.5-acre first-phase on the south shore of the Inner Harbor, between the Maryland Science Center and the Rusty Scupper Restaurant.

The first phase includes Jake’s Skate Park, named Jake Owen, a five-year-old South Baltimore boy who was killed by a distracted driver in 2011. Weekend activities included yoga, music, biking, a garden discovery, a skate party and a demo with pro skater Joey Jett.
