Newsweek’s annual ranking of the top high schools in the country includes six from Baltimore County. Three are in Towson.
The three Towson schools are as follows
- Dulaney High (571)
- George Washington Carver Center for Arts and Technology (603)
- Towson High School (750)
Additionally, Eastern Technical High School was ranked 656, while Hereford High was ranked 671. Eastern Technical High School and New Town High were also on the magazine’s “Beating the Odds” list, which looks at schools with high populations from poorer areas.
“While Newsweek and other organizations use various methods for judging the quality of high schools, the ultimate measure of success for BCPS is to have all students graduate globally competitive and ready to succeed in college, careers, and life,” said Superintendent Dr. S. Dallas Dance.
Top 1,000 is not very impressive.
Top one thousand isn’t something to boast about.
More useless fluff.
