Starting Friday, theater audiences can purchase tickets for performances of the Tony Award-winning Best Musical “The Outsiders” at Baltimore’s Hippodrome Theatre next spring.
Based on S.E. Hinton’s novel and the Francis Ford Coppola film inspired by the book, “The Outsiders” musical is set in Tulsa, Oklahoma, in 1967. It tells a coming-of-age story of a group of Greaser “outsiders” against their wealthier rivals, the Socs.
The show and its source material explore themes of friendship, family, belonging, self-discovery, and finding good in the world.
The touring production will perform in Baltimore from April 20-25, 2027. Tickets went on sale Friday at 10 a.m. They can be purchased on the Hippodrome’s website, through Ticketmaster, or in person at the Hippodrome Box Office at 12 N.
