DECEMBER 2ND MERRIMENT & MELODIES AT HARBOR EAST CANCELED DUE TO RAIN

 

BALTIMORE, MD (December 2, 2015) – Due to forecasted rain, tonight’s Merriment & Melodies: A Holiday Choral Series event at Harbor East is cancelled. We encourage you to attend the next installment of Merriment & Melodies next Wednesday, December 9th with a performance by the Children’s Chorus of Maryland and the final event of the series on Wednesday, December 16th with a performance by the Heart of Maryland Chorus. Please note we are working on rescheduling the Pride of Baltimore Chorus (originally scheduled to perform this evening) to one of these future dates. Harbor East hosts the inaugural Merriment & Melodies: A Holiday Choral Arts Series taking place Wednesday evenings (2nd, 9th & 16th) in December and benefitting the Maryland Food Bank! Join us in the neighborhood for starlight performances from some of Baltimore’s best and brightest choral arts groups set against the stunning backdrop of Katyn Circle and the night sky.

Merriment & Melodies will proudly feature: Pride of Baltimore Chorus (12/2), Children’s Chorus of Maryland (12/9), and the Heart of Maryland Chorus (12/16).

During Merriment & Melodies we welcome guests to warm up street-side with our Hot Chocolate Happy Hour offerings, featuring complimentary hot cocoa and sweets, while holiday characters, stilt walkers and acrobats amaze! Stick around to holiday shop at “Baltimore’s Best” shopping destination as Harbor East retailers host events & specials, plus extended shopping hours until 9PM.

December 2nd: 

Join us for our kickoff event with a performance by the award-winning Pride of Baltimore Chorus. Toast to the season with complimentary bubbly in-store while you check off your holiday shopping list and pose for your close up in our Pixelated Photo Booth.

December 9th:

Harbor East is happy to host an evening especially for families! Enjoy festive sounds from the Children’s Chorus of Maryland & School of Music. Little ones won’t want to miss the fourth annual Milk & Cookies Social – a (cool) progeny play date from 5:30PM-7:30PM at The Maryland Athletic Club. The MAC will transform into a holiday workshop offering FREE kids crafts and activities, including face painting, cookie decorating and more. Yes, there will be Milk & Cookies (plus wine & cheese for parents).                         Please RSVP at (cool) progeny!

December 16th:

Our final evening of “Merriment & Melodies” will feature the Heart of Maryland Chorus, a barbershop style performance group. Sneak in some last minute shopping and catch an appearance by the North Pole’s hottest celeb, Santa Claus! St. Nick will be strolling around Harbor East spreading holiday cheer and will happily pose for a selfie or two!

Give Back to the Maryland Food Bank

In partnership with the Maryland Food Bank, Harbor East will be collecting donated canned goods at each Merriment & Melodies event in an effort to help food-insecure families this holiday season. For each item collected onsite, Harbor East will donate $1 to the Maryland Food Bank. Drop off will be located at the Harbor East tent in front of Haagen Dazs. Please consider making a donation while taking in all of the free and festive holiday events in Harbor East!

The festivities begin at 5:30PM, choral groups will take the stage at 6:30PM. Free and open to the public.
