Towson Toys-R-Us Robbed

toysrusToy-minded thieves were out in Baltimore County on Wednesday. The Toys-R-Us in Towson Place was robbed, police said.

The incident was reported around 3 p.m. A man with a gun was believed to be in the store, but no shots were fired. No injuries were reported, according to Baltimore County police.

Stores in the vicinity were shut down, as police reported that 4-6 people were “sheltering” inside the store. There was no indication that they were being held against their will.

Police shut down Joppa Road in the area of the store for about an hour, and a media staging area was quickly set up between Chipotle and Shoppers.

A suspect was reportedly in custody before 4 p.m., but more details weren’t available.
