Baltimore County police shot two people near the corner Falls Rd. and Ruxton Rd. on Friday afternoon.
Police said the shooting happened just after 1 p.m. The two people were fleeing a bank robbery at the Wells Fargo branch in the 1500 block of Reisterstown Road.
The shooting happened near the intersection of Falls Road and Old Court Road, where it meets Ruxton Road, near an off-ramp of the JFX. A local, popular farm stand sits nearby.
One of the suspects died in the shooting. The other had non-life-threatening injuries.
Police said the man who survived is a serial bank robber sought by the FBI. The man, nicknamed “The Aviator” by authorities because of the sunglasses he wore, was wanted in three bank robberies this month in the Baltimore area, including two other Wells Fargo branches.
It’s the third incident in which Baltimore County police were involved in a death to make news this week. The State’s Attorney opted not to charge police in connection with Korryn Gaines’ death on Wednesday. Also on that day, 21-year-old Tawon Boyd died following a fight with police outside his home over the weekend.
