Under Armour is now the official apparel outfitter of Morgan State University’s athletic department and teams, the university announced today.
The athletic apparel company reached a five-year deal with Morgan State to provide uniforms, apparel, gear and equipment to the university’s student-athletes, coaches, athletic department personnel, and other members of the campus community.
“Morgan State is excited to begin our new partnership with Under Armour as we look to provide our student-athletes the best possible resources to excel on the national stage,” Morgan State University Athletic Director Edward Scott said in a statement. “As Maryland’s Preeminent Public Urban Research University, this newly formed partnership between Morgan and Under Armour makes perfect sense for the City of Baltimore, Morgan State University and Under Armour. As we went through our process it became clear that Under Armour is uniquely positioned to tell our story and to help grow the brand of Morgan Athletics.”
“It’s a new day,” the university tweeted on Monday, announcing the deal.

The university’s athletic department also tweeted a video showing athletes wearing some of the new uniforms, decked out in Morgan State’s blue and orange school colors.

Morgan State will debut its new Under Armour apparel on Nov. 25 during the first game of the season for the men’s and women’s basketball teams.
Morgan State joins Under Armour’s other NCAA partners, including the University of Maryland, University of Wisconsin, University of Notre Dame, Northwestern University and University of South Carolina.
University of Maryland signed a 10-year apparel deal with Under Armour in 2014.
