Unified Community Connections, a nonprofit agency supporting people with disabilities, will hold the annual grassroots music festival fundraiser, Hoodstock XXIII, featuring live music from the ’60s, ’70s and today, as well as food, drinks, dancing, raffles, and silent auction.

When? Friday, Nov. 13, from 7 to 11 p.m.
Where? Baltimore Museum of Industry | 1415 Key Highway, Baltimore
Free on-site parking

Baltimore-based band Roses n Rust will headline a roster of local musicians performing classic and contemporary rock, pop, soul, blues and country music.

“Our annual fundraiser isn’t a traditional gala, and we think that’s a good thing,” said Amy Kreitz, president and CEO of Unified Community Connections. “Hoodstock is the laid-back concert fundraiser where guests say no to black-tie and yes to tie-dye. Join us for a family-friendly evening dedicated to helping Unified Community Connections continue its mission of supporting people with disabilities.”

At the event, Unified Community Connections will present this year’s Samuel A. Tucker Memorial Can Do Award to an individual who receives support from the agency. Unified will also recognize the late O.J. Brigance, former agency board member and senior advisor for player development for the Baltimore Ravens. Brigance presented the Can Do Award at Hoodstock for 13 years.

Last year, Hoodstock raised $107,000 bringing the total to $1.3 million raised since the event started 22 years ago. Hoodstock began as a backyard concert in the Otterbein neighborhood of Baltimore in 2004 and became a fundraiser for Unified Community Connections in 2005.

Tickets cost $50 in advance and $55 at the door. For more information, visit Unified.org/hoodstock or contact Lauren Bussard at lbussard@unified.org or 443-449-2461.
