Last month, we learned that Baltimore will be getting a taste of Brooklyn’s hottest baked goods when Robicelli’s comes to town. This month, we find out that one of New York’s eyewear trendsetters will come into focus.
According to Baltimore Magazine, Warby Parker is set to open a spot in Harbor East this spring. The glasses startup is primarily known for online sales, being an early champion of the order-online, try-on-at-home model of spectacle shopping. But success has brought brick-and-mortar showrooms, as well. The Baltimore location will be the company’s first in Maryland.
Baltimore Magazine reports the showroom will be more than 1,000 sq. ft., located in an Aliceanna St. storefront that used to house a City Sports location. It’s another addition to what Harbor East is calling the “Luxury District” of Baltimore. The shop will be next to the recently-opened Brooks Brothers, and down the way from J. Crew and Anthropologie, as well as Under Armour’s “Brand House” and a recently reopened Bmore Betty.
