I wish you would write more about the history of the area around Herring Run Park (Back River near BelAir Road) about the ongoing archeological investigation sites with regard to the “Broad” family that lived on the land. Barbara Broad was the widow of Dennis Garrett who used to own and live at “Long Island Point” in what is now known as “Fells Point” in Baltimore before he was murdered by Capt. John Oldton. Barbara later sold the property, remarried and moved to the Herring Run Park area with her children from her first marriage. Barbara’s maiden name was Stone and she was supposedly closely related to the colonial Governor Stone. Jason Shallenhamer is the leader of the investigating team at Herring Run Park.
