Great Big Game Show is coming to Arundel Mills this summer, adding to the destination mallโs list of attractions with an immersive game show experience complete with music, lighting, buzzers, and a live game show host. It is set to open on Sunday, May 31.
This is the franchiseโs first location in Maryland. Great Big Game Show gives participants the feeling of being on a TV game show with interactive challenges, theatrical sets, and professional hosts, simulating a fully-produced competition. Teams stand behind podiums and compete in an hour-long showdown that uses trivia, strategy, and rapid-fire challenges. Each studio can accommodate up to 14 players, so it is appropriate for birthday parties, group outings for friends and families, and other occasions.
At each visit, players can expect at least 17 original mini-games, including ones called Trivia Temple, Blaster Blitz, Drawing in the Dark, Spin Out, Build It Up, and Split Decision. These are a mix of head-to-head matchups and collaborative challenges so that results are unpredictable and players are kept on their toes.
โMaryland has been on our wish list for a long time, and we couldnโt imagine a better home base than Arundel Mills,โ said Jonathan Murrell, co-founder and CMO of Great Big Game Show. โAs we head into the warmer months, weโre excited to give guests a place to beat the heat and step into an immersive, high-energy experience. From cheering and laughing to those unforgettable high-five moments, we canโt wait to welcome Maryland players and see the memories theyโll create here.โ
There are already Great Big Game Show locations in Washington, D.C., Northern Virginia, and New Jersey, with more than 20 locations now open across the United States. It was founded in 2023 by the creators of The Escape Game. Cost varies by location, and as of publication, the website does not list the price for Arundel Mills. At the Washington, D.C. location, however, the price was $41.99 per person to book a spot.
The website recommends the games for participants ages 6 years and older and requires a paying guardian 18 years or older to participate with anyone 14 years and younger. Children 4 years and under are free and permitted to play, but the site needs to be notified as each game has a maximum player capacity.
