
Community Mitzvah Day, Jewish Volunteer Connection’s largest volunteer event, takes place on Tuesday, December 24 and Wednesday, December 25 at sites throughout the Baltimore area. This local event, now in its 14th year, brings the community together as volunteers to meet vital community needs and enhance the dignity of people who may need assistance at this time of the year. Mitzvah Day offers volunteer opportunities for every age, interest and ability. Volunteers will assemble winter care packages, make fleece blankets, help in soup kitchens and shelters, visit isolated seniors and much more. Join more than a thousand other volunteers as we do good in Baltimore and make a huge impact in one day!

Each year, the organization helps volunteers to give back at area schools, shelters, hospitals, synagogues and organizations throughout Baltimore. Mitzvah Day is among JVC’s largest annual events. Mitzvah Day is an exceptional day of volunteerism, community activism and unity.
