A personal invitation to Night of a Million Meals from Stephanie Archer Smith
I am Stephanie Archer Smith, the Executive Director of Meals on Wheels of Central Maryland. I’m known for trying out new things, so I am cordially inviting you to Night of a Million Meals! Please join us on May 20th at the Grand Lodge in Hunt Valley. We were voted one of Baltimore‘s best events for 2018. Described by a colleague as a high-end food event, Night of a Million Meals is a metaphor for the abundance of the evening. It hints to the meals we serve to seniors in the community. But that’s not all…..
Night of a Million meals is also a metaphor for the reason for the event – to help Meals on Wheels of Central Maryland reach the 1.3 million meals needed each year to keep Maryland seniors living happy, healthy, independent lives at home for as long as they choose. Those meals are delivered hot every day to thousands of seniors throughout Central Maryland, and are critical to seniors who want to age in place, but lack the monetary and any other safety net.
Night of a Million Meals is both a great night out and a good cause. I will be there. I hope you will, too. Introduce yourself to me, we are eager to share our message to teens, millennials, and baby boomers. Seniors know us, we want you to know us, and our work too!
