A popular local merch dealer now has the green light to sell items adorned with Marylandersโ€™ favorite kitchen spice.

Route One Apparel has reached a licensing agreement with McCormick and Company to sell gear featuring the iconic Old Bay brand, the company announced today. Some of the items already for sale online include Old Bay-themed umbrellas, bow ties, running shorts and leggings.

Route One has been in the Maryland-themed clothing game for seven years now. Founder Ali von Paris launched the company from her dorm room at the University of Maryland. Itโ€™s since blossomed into a full-fledged store with more than 1,500 items for sale. Most of them include the Maryland flagโ€™s crests and checkered patterns, though the collection has branched out.

As we noted earlier this year. Von Parisโ€™ business savvy shows through in her list of partnerships, which include the iconic Natty Boh brand, two casinos and the Maryland Lottery. She also sells seasonal items. Exhibit A: a โ€œMaryland Thingsโ€ shirt for Halloween that plays on the name of Netflixโ€™s enthralling mystery/horror series.

If youโ€™re from the kind of family that puts Old Bay on everything, this may be exciting news. Click here to see the new collection.
