Local resident Kim Bosley has a new role as owner Chesapeake Wine Company, infusing the Canton shop with a new vision and her passion for community. “Pour with a Purpose” is the mission as she redefines the store’s offerings while keeping its legacy going strong.
Bosley plans to spotlight affordable wines and spirits from female-owned brands whenever possible, celebrating women in the industry while creating an inviting space for neighbors and visitors.
“The Chesapeake Wine Company has always been a beacon in Canton, and I’m honored to continue that tradition while adding my personal touch,” Bosley said. “I want this to be more than a wine shop—I want it to be a place that supports small businesses and serves as a gathering spot for our community.”
The shop’s space has an intimate bar area, table and lounge seating, and an extensive selection of wines and spirits. Bosley added prosecco on draft, small bites, and charcuterie boards to the menu, positioning Chesapeake Wine Company as a spot for both casual outings and special occasions.
To mark this new chapter, the store will host a “New Sign Celebration” on Sunday, Feb. 2 from noon to 5 p.m., where it will unveil its refreshed branding and logo. The celebration is open to all and invited to share Chesapeake Wine Company’s renewed vision while supporting a neighborhood business that’s dedicated to community and purpose.
