Forget about the shoe, the car, and the thimble โ we may be fighting over who gets to be the crab, the Bromo Seltzer Tower, and Mr. Trash Wheel if Mr. Monopoly has his way! “Monopoly: Baltimore Edition” will debut later in 2025, and Mr. Monopoly seeks public input into what the playing board will look like.
Top Trumps USA (no relation to Donald J. Trump, Jr. or any of his family or businesses), creators of classic games and puzzles, will debut “Monopoly: Baltimore Edition” in late fall, under license from Hasbro. They are seeking well-established Baltimore businesses and non-profits to participate in honoring communities across the city.

Paying homage to the Baltimore community, the gameโs board will replace the famous Atlantic City squares, from Boardwalk to Park Place, with Baltimore businesses, nonprofits, and landmarks. The Baltimore board will also have a customized Community Chest, Chance cards, and Monopoly money, ensuring every detail reflects the cityโs unique charm and history.
โBaltimore is such a unique community with a rich history. We aim to ensure that MONOPOLY: BALTIMORE Edition is an accurate portrayal of what Baltimore locals and tourists love about this charming city,โ said Tim Barney, a Top Trumps representative. โEach organization being considered must have established longevity/legacy, credibility, and community engagement. It’s all about immortalizing the best of the best in our game. We’re looking for the places and things that are quintessentially Baltimore and that truly call it home.โ
What restaurants are Baltimore personified? What businesses and nonprofits make you think of Charm City? What landmarks, attractions, sports teams, zoos, schools, traditions make this town our home? When “Monopoly: Baltimore Edition” is gifted to your cousins in Minnesota, what would you be excited to explain to them about each square on the board?

Usually only 20-30 organizations are selected to be featured on any one or more of the following: a unique property space & deed, a Community Chest/Chance card, the box lid, and/or the board montage.
Selections are expected to have been made by the end of the first week in April, but submitting your ideas earlier gives them a better chance of being chosen.
โSince we make selections as we go, that means every spot is meant to be filled by that time; so, donโt wait to submit until then!โ Barney said. โIn the fall of 2025, we will be hosting a big launch and unveiling party at a popular and recognizable venue in the city. Our game launches are very exciting. It’s the first time the completed game is unveiled for the world to see, and it is available for purchase that instant.โ
To ensure the board captures the most essential elements of Baltimore, Top Trumps is already seeking recommendations from the public about which locations, businesses, and organizations should be included. Submit your ideas at this link, or email your suggestions to this link for consideration.
“Monopoly: Baltimore Edition” will be released in the fall of 2025 and will be available in stores and online at retail partners, including Barnes & Noble, Amazon and select local Baltimore retailers.
