Sail250 Maryland & Airshow Baltimore (Sail250 Maryland) announced four free festivals planned to anchor the week-long celebration taking place across Baltimore City and County at the end of June.

From June 24โ€“30, 2026, Sail250 Maryland will be part of a multistate celebration honoring the 250th anniversary of the founding of the United States. The four free festivals will happen from June 26โ€“28, offering a family-friendly series of activities at the Inner Harbor, Fells Point, and Baltimore Peninsula in Baltimore City, and Martin State Airport in Baltimore County.

Across the four festivals, there will be live performances from nearly 30 local Baltimore and military bands, and a DJ Stage curated by the Love Groove Festival. Music will range from R&B, rock, and reggae to country, funk, and Latin rhythms. There will also be spontaneous pop-up street theater surprises during the weekend.

Visitors will not go hungry, with many options for food demonstrations, samples, contests, classes, and vendors. There will be the โ€œSeafood for Thoughtโ€ Stage, highlighting flavors of the Chesapeake with cooking demos by local celebrity chefs, culinary competitions, and samples โ€” including 250 free birthday cupcakes. There will be a Crab Soup Cook-off (one for professional chefs and one for home cooks) and an all-America Apple Pie contest.

If that is not enough seafood, Phillips Seafood will offer a Crabology 101 class and host a crabcake-eating contest. Local celebrities Chef Egg and Chef โ€œDowntownโ€ Kevin Brown will hold cooking demonstrations, as will John Shields, award-winning chef, owner of Gertrudeโ€™s Restaurant, and cookbook author.

For non-seafood fare, there will be woodfired pizza, barbecue, tacos, ice cream, and more among 20-plus food and beverage trucks and vendors, several of them veteran-owned.

In addition to the food vendors, visitors can browse nearly 50 exhibitors with interactive displays, veteransโ€™ resources, military recruitment booths, artists, and Baltimore-based nonprofits โ€” including the interactive SS Kidzone, a U.S. Navy Dive Tank, and official Sail250 commemorative merchandise.

The Kids on the Bay โ€œParade of Nationsโ€ will be led by the Quantico Marine Ceremonial Band and feature crews from the international flotilla of tall ships visiting Baltimore. All are invited to join the parade, including kids and pets in costume. Special guests include Baltimoreโ€™s own Marching Elite, the U.S. Navy and U.S. Marine Corps, Ravens Cheer Team, Betsy Ross, Ben Franklin, George and Martha Washington, Uncle Sam, Big Whimsy Stiltwalkers, Alchemy Performing Arts, Sage Oโ€™ Silver, TheJugglingKat, and the Charm City Tales Mermaid Troupe.

The Martin State Airport and the Glenn L. Martin Maryland Aviation Museum will welcome guests at an open house on June 27 and June 28, with military aircraft displays, live music, souvenirs, and Maryland food vendors. There will be hands-on activities and exhibits that highlight Marylandโ€™s rich aviation history.

Part of Sail250 Maryland will include the legendary Blue Angels and elite international flight demonstration teams taking to the skies. At the open house, visitors can see the aircraft and meet the aviators behind the performances. Flyover aircraft will be arriving and departing from Martin State Airport all weekend, making it an ideal location to see the action up close.

Festival hours vary, and while some information is available below, full details are available at Sail250 Marylandโ€™s website.
