A new center bar and cocktail lounge is opening at Live! Casino & Hotel Maryland in Hanover.
Luma will open in early November in a 5,626-square-foot space next to Asian-fusion restaurant Luk Fu at the center of the casino floor. It will offer cocktails, shareable dishes, four high-limit table games, lounge seating, a large LED screen, and live entertainment.
“We are constantly evolving our property to meet the changing tastes of our guests, and Luma is just one way we are renovating space to reflect their desire for new experiences,” said James Reyes, Senior Vice President of Operations at Live! Casino & Hotel Maryland. “As our signature social lounge, Luma will elevate any evening rendezvous. With premium cocktails, bites, music and gaming, the guest experience changes with the night.”
Luma will be open Sundays through Thursdays from 5 p.m. to 1 a.m., Fridays from 5 p.m. to 2 a.m., and Saturdays from 3 p.m. to 2 a.m.
There will be special celebrity appearances and giveaways during Luma’s opening weekend. The exact opening date will be announced in the coming weeks.
The restaurant is currently hiring for an assistant general manager role.
Opened in 2012 next to Arundel Mills Mall, Live! Casino & Hotel Maryland is a six-time AAA Four Diamond-rated hospitality property. U.S. News & World Report named it one of the top hotels in Maryland, including among the top 10 in 2023.
The casino offers nearly 200 live action table games and 4,000 slot machines, alarge Poker Room, two High Limit Rooms, and the Orchid Gaming & Smoking Patio.
Meanwhile, the hotel has 310 luxury guest rooms, a spa, five spa-level hotel suites with private in-room treatment areas, and a collection of more than 40 contemporary art pieces, including from artist Andy Warhol.
The property is also home to the entertainment venue The HALL at Live!
